Texas Wing Rotary Wing Education School (RES)

The Rotary Wing Education School (RES) is a Texas Wing sponsored cadet activity.  The goal of the RES is to give cadets hands-on learning experience in the area of rotary wing aviation, to include flying rotary wing aircraft. As well as rotary wing maintenance. Cadets will receive classroom instruction from FAA Certified Flight Instructors, as well as hands on flying experience in Approved Flight Training Devices (simulators) and an introductory flight with a flight instructor. Cadets will be given ground instruction and an opportunity to practice/perform basic maneuvers. Additionally, cadets get the opportunity to work with aviation professionals, civilian and military, who share their expertise on how to prepare for a career as a rotary wing aviator. For those interested in a career as a helicopter pilot, this is an activity that will provide you unrivalled access to industry experts.
